I have joined some zines before as an artist, and now I have decided to start my own with my friends with the hope of creating something that joins many people with different languages and culture from all around the world to spread more love in our small Hamefura fandom. GENERAL QUESTIONS
1. What’s a fan-novel?
A fan-novel is a small-circulation, self-published work of original writings and/or arts. Similar to a fanzine, but focused on writing.2. What’s the Bakarina Fanovel?
The Bakarina Fanovel is a multinational, fan-made, for-charity light novel all about celebrating Katarina Claes and Gerald Stuart as a couple! The two are characters from the hit series My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom, a.k.a. Hamefura, or Bakarina.3. What do you mean by multinational?
This zine includes creators from all over the world, not just native English speakers.4. Will this be for-profit, charity or free?
This project will be for-charity!5. What’s the novel’s content rating?
PG-13/SFW!6. Will other characters from the series appear in the background, or is it 100% Katarina and Gerald only?
Yes! Other characters will certainly be appearing, but the focus is on Katarina and Gerald.7. Is Alternate Universe (AU) content allowed?
Yes, they're completely fine! As long as the AU can match one of the subthemes we have for the novel.APPLICATION QUESTIONS
1. How many contributors will you accept?
We're accepting around 20-25 contributors, along with inviting 10 guests.2. How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors will each receive a digital and a physical copy of the novel. Merchandise artists will receive at least 1 physical copy each of their merch pieces. If there is enough funds for it, contributors will instead receive a full bundle with free shipping.However, if there's not enough sales to break even, contributors may have to pay for the production costs of their copies.3. Is traditional art allowed?
Yes. Please make sure to provide a clean, high quality scan of your work. Scanning in 600dpi or higher is advisable.4. Do I need to be fluent in English to join?
No! If you can understand simple sentences in English, then feel free to apply. We can also accommodate contributors who know any of the following languages: English, Japanese, and Chinese. Mod Sparkle will provide translations for any Japanese and Chinese speakers.STORE QUESTIONS
